ADMISSIONS SESSION 2019-20

DEGREE PROGRAMS OFFERED ELIGIBILITY

1.      B.E. in (i) Civil (ii) Electrical (iii) Mechanical (iv) Industrial Engineering & Management (v) Textile (vi) Chemical (vii) Petroleum & Natural Gas (viii) Environmental Engineering & Management (ix) Computer Systems (x) Software (xi) Electronic (xii) Telecommunication (xiii) Mining (xiv) Metallurgy & Materials (xv) Bio-Medical and (xvi) Mechatronics Engineering.

1.       Candidates who have passed the HSC Part-II (Pre-Engineering) in annual examination 2019 or prior up to annual examination 2016 with at least 60% aggregate marks (Grace marks given by the board for improvement of grade shall not be counted) are eligible to apply for admission under Regular and Self- Financing Scheme.

2.      The candidates having HSC Part-II (General Science) with at least 60% aggregate marks (Grace marks given by the board for improvement of grade shall not be counted) are only eligible for admission in Computer Systems, Software, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering.

3.      The candidates having HSC Part-II (Pre-Medical) with at least 60% aggregate marks (Grace marks given by the board for improvement of grade shall not be counted) are only eligible for admission in Bio-Medical Engineering.

Note:
Candidates who have appeared in HSC-II Annual Examination, 2019 and are waiting for the results are also eligible to apply for admission under both the schemes. They will have to upload appearance / hope certificate from the principal of the concerned college showing seat number of the HSC Part-II Examination and HSC-I mark certificate with the online admission form. Moreover, they will have to upload the mark certificate of HSC Part-II showing 60% marks and above within a week's time after announcement of the result by their concerned Board. All the candidates shall be allowed provisionally to appear in the pre-admission entry test to be conducted on 1st September, 2019 at MUET, Jamshoro. However only those candidates shall be considered in the merit list who not only qualify the entry test by securing at least 40% score but also secure 60% marks in HSC-II and meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above. (Grace marks given by the board for improvement of grade shall not be counted).

2.       Bachelor of Architecture, and City & Regional Planning

As mentioned at (1) above.

3.      
a.       B.E. in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum and Electronics Engineering on Diploma basis.

b.       Bachelor of Architecture on Diploma basis

Diploma of Associate Engineer in the relevant Technology (for Chemical Engineering Diploma in Chemical / Glass & Ceramics Technology) having at least 60% aggregate marks in Annual Examination 2019 or prior up to Annual Examination 2016 under Regular Scheme. (The result of DAE must be already declared and the DAE documents must be submitted atleast one week before entry test).

Admission Forms:

Candidates shall be required to apply online for admission from 23-07-2019 by registering on MUET admission portal. The Prospectus is available on MUET website at Prospectus Session 2019-20 The application processing fee of Rs.3000/- is required to be paid in MUET admission processing fee Bank account No. 00727902679803 in any branch of Habib Bank Limited, through challan generated by the online portal and than uploading the paid challan on the admission portal. The candidates have to provide all the required information / data to online system. The candidates will be required to scan and upload their recent photograph, original SSC, HSC, Hope Certificate (if applicable), Domicile and PRC on the admission portal of the University up to 05-08-2019. .

Pre-Admission Test:

1.      All eligible candidates shall be required to appear in the Pre-Admission Entry Test at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro on Sunday the 1st September, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
2.      The candidates failing to appear in the Test will automatically stand disqualified for admission.
3.      Admit Slip for Pre-Admission Test will be sent online through admission portal. The admit Slip issued by the University should be produced by the candidate at the time of the test.
4.      If any candidate does not receive his / her Admit Slip online, he / she may contact for the same to the undersigned from 27-08-2018 to           30-08-2018 during office hours (8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). After 30-08-2019 admit slips shall not be issued in any circumstances.
5.      The candidates will be required to report at the Examination Centre for Test atleast one hour before the start of the pre-admission test.


Admission Schedule:

i)     The result of pre-admission test shall be announced on the University website within 48 hours of the entry test.
ii)      Re-totaling of marks of test paper if desired by any candidate shall be considered up to 06-09-2019 for which he / she will pay Rs. 1,000/- as re-checking fee to the University.
iii)     General Provisional Merit List of the candidates of all districts, who are otherwise eligible for admission, shall be uploaded on the website of the University on 17-09-2019.
iv)      The 1st Provisional Interviews Call List shall be displayed on website of the University on 20-09-2019.
v)      Interviews shall be conducted from 23-09-2019 at Mehran University, Jamshoro. The candidates whose name appear in interview call list shall be called for interview before admission committee and they are required to submit two sets of photo copies of the required documents along with originals.
vi)      The Classes of this Batch will start from Monday the 14th October, 2019. .



Important Note:

i)      Once admitted the required original documents shall be retained by the University for at least ONE ENTIRE YEAR.
ii)     The candidates without documents / short of any document, shall not be allowed to appear in the interview and his / her name shall be deleted from the Interview call list. The discipline / technology shall be allotted on spot /on interview day. The candidates are therefore advised to prepare / complete their required documents viz. Marksheet / Pass Certificate of SSC, HSC, Domicile and PRC (Form-C) and CNIC / Form-B before the interviews.
